As an accredited training organisation, it is now necessary to cover the cost of accreditation and administration by charging a course fee.

Our aim is to identify people who are ready to stop smoking and give them advice and support in their attempt to quit.

Smoking Cessation Advisers provide individual appointments or groups throughout Buckinghamshire

The sessions usually continue for 6 weeks, or longer if required.

NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) is available at prescription cost.

All Advisers complete a Monitoring Form for each client that sets a quit date. Monitoring forms are sent to the Buckinghamshire Stop Smoking Service for collation and submission to the Department of Health quarterly returns.

Specialist Advisers are available to provide mentorship for any Adviser who is delivering support.

Advisers are invited to attend Update & Supervision Meetings to meet colleagues who provide stop smoking support, share good practice and receive up to date information on smoking cessation.
